Error $0.25 1918-D Standing Liberty Quarter Misaligned Die & Delaminating Planchet - XF
In the Standing Liberty Quarter series, all errors are rare. This coin falls a bit deeper into that category than one might casually observe.
The obverse die was misaligned slightly toward 3:00, producing a very definite second rim from 7:00 to 11:00.
Moreover, a hinged lamination is visible at 4:00, also on the obverse.
Errors of any kind on an SLQ are something to get excited about. Two unrelated errors on the same coin is improbable.
1918-D is the date on this attractive coin, and XF is the grade.
