A scarce date in the Seated Half Dimes, this 1841-O is extremely original, with appealing natural olive-gray toning over generous detail.
There is an old scratch across the left side of the obverse which aligns perfectly with the bottom horizontal line in the shield. It toned over long ago, and blends in so well that it has been missed by many examining the coin.
A very nice coin, nonetheless.
